Daytime Ghost Hunting
It’s a myth, Ghost hunting can only be done at night…..Sorry, but it is a false, You can ghost hunt in broad daylight. Of course it may not be as exciting as it would be during the night, but daytime ghost hunting can be very productive, and is perfect for those locations you can’t get into during the night hours.

Ghosts are there no matter if it is day or night. It is a misconception that ghosts only come out during the night. If they are there, then they will be there day or night, it’s not a theory, some experienced ghost hunters have caught some of their best ghost hunting evidence during the daylight hours.
Daytime ghost hunting has it’s advantages, but with a few disadvantages of well. An advantage of daytime ghost hunting is that photography and video is extremely effective. You will be able to capture distant objects and movements better during the daylight hours that you would otherwise be unable to capture during the night. During the night, your camera’s distance is limited to your lighting, as well as your video.

You must though be aware of your shadow and the shadow of those with you. Your shadow can make for some misleading photographs. All ways be aware of your shadow when taking pictures….
Do a search, and you will find that a lot of the better ghost pictures were captured during the daylight hours. I am a firm believer of this and religiously participate in daytime ghost hunting, even if it is only I. My weekly schedule includes at least one visit to a cemetery near me. If I get some type of reaction from it, I will concentrate on that cemetery until, I’ve got enough to pursue a night hunt.
Both of the EVPs I have on the G.T.P.R.S. page were both captured during the daylight hours and local cemeteries. I have found it to be difficult to get permission for a night visit to them at this point of time, but as I gather more evidence of activity, I’m sure with a formal presentation of the data received I will try to talk to the owners to allow us to set up camp for the night.

If you have noticed, I’m using my daytime evidence for not only purpose of ghost evidence, but to use the data I receive for permission of the property owners to allow us to go in during the night….Sometimes, you may find difficult owners, but providing evidence of something, they usually will change their mind when they find out your serious about your hobby or profession, and are not their for liability purposes. Some owners finally wake up, and see that the results could only benefit them…….
Now back to the daylight hours. Daytime hunting, can also play a big role in a newbie ghost hunter’s growing process, specially one who is having a hard time gathering a group to accompanying them on ghost hunts. Every ounce of experience helps. Using this to grow their own ghost hunting experience will help a new individual tune his or her ghost hunting techniques.
Audio can be picked up during the daylight hours as well, but the ghost hunter must be aware of his/her surroundings. Highways, lawnmowers, and other daytime routine noise can cause interference and you may mistake EVPs that were nothing more than a car passing by the cemetery. If you are documenting all explainable noises that occur during this time, then identifying true EVPS will be a easier process and you will not make the mistake of focusing on something that really is nothing.
Night ghost hunting does have advantage on the audio front. Sound does travel father at night, and the daytime routine noises, are generally non-existent.
If you do not believe that you can capture good ghost evidence during the daylight hours, I challenge you to visit some of your local cemeteries and try it. Take pictures and do some audio work with a voice recorder. Sooner or later, you will pick something up, that you will not be able to explain…..
You can hunt ghosts during the day…….
