Bogey Bridge in Cass City, Michigan

Bogey Bridge-The Local Legend:
Many Michigan locals around the Cass City area believe bogey bridge to be haunted. Rumors fly out of control about those who dare to test the ghost of bogey bridge. Many locals report seeing a ghostly image of a women in their rear view mirror as they pass by the bridge slowly.
This has not been seen by just one person, but by many, or so they say. Some report when they have stopped on the bridge, they will hear three knocks on the side of the car, but to the truth, we shall see.
The age of this local story is unkown, but even well aged residents have comfirmed that they have heard of the bogey bridge, while others believe that it's just nothing more than a false urban legend started by a few mischief kids on a night, there was nothing else to do. They believe the rumor had spread through time, only because the location and the old bridge itself, is down right eary in it's own right.
A common belief or story among the Bogey Bridge believers is that there was once a car crash on the bridge that killed a middle aged lady, and that lady is the one they believe is haunting the bridge.
The car accident has yet to be proven, but more research should tell the tale. The answers are soon to come, and the truth shall be spoken......
G.T.P.R.S. Has Made Many Visits to the Bogey Bridge:
They were right! The bridge tucked away in the middle of nowhere was more intimidating than the local legend of the Ghost who haunts it. They surrounding dark woods completely blanketed the road in darkness, really giving it a horrifying feal.
The bridge it's self was beat up and rusted, giving it a feel of neglect, and a sure future county project, a new bridge may take the mystic area from it.
We approached the bridge with scepticism as we always do, until we get results. We have made numerous visits to this bridge over the past few days, here in early August of 2008.
The first night came with chills the first moments of stepping on the bridge, the air, the mystic feeling, something felt odd. We continued taking pictures, and listening for something to catch our attention.
We heard nothing, but a few splashing in the water, nothing to be alarmed about, since a common fish called Carp are known to splash in these murky waters at night.
We started to do audio work, asking for the attention and the response of anything that might be present. A few cold spots were to follow, but our experiences were nothing to speak of. It seemed to be silent as I alone walked the bridge to try and catch a Bogey Bridge EVP, but my stint was cut short when the others suddenly started the car. I rushed back to the car, startled by the sudden sounds of the car. I opened the door, asking why? They explained that they suddenly couldn't see me, and we really got a little giggle out of it, thinking nothing had happened, I reminded us that I still had the tape recorder on in the car, and then shut it off and began our journey home to check out the data.
We check the photos, nothing stuck out. We then preceeded to the audio. After listening through almost all the audio, we got a surprise at the end of the tape. When I entered the car, in the middle of our discussion, some one decided to join our conversation.......There was only three of us at the time, a forth intruded with "They Got Me" Startled by our catch, we decided that we would indeed return to the creepy bridge the following night.
We again approached the bridge, the weather was close to putting our investigation on hold. Lightning filled the sky and thunder eoched throught the woods. They extra elements really gave all of us a uneasy feeling.
I stepped out into the black night with my headlamp attached to my hat. I was attacked, not by a ghost, but by a swarm of bugs. I put the recording recorder on the top of the car and then opened the trunk. I grabbed the bug spray and dowsed myself in it.
I then closed the trunk door and began to take pictures and audio work. Again I did recieve chills, but as far as a personal experience or odd noises, nothing. I was more worried about the weather than anything.
As the storm moved in, the conditions were not good. The wind began to shake the tree tops, and the lighning and thunder welcomed a down pour. We left, not wanting one of those impossing trees to get struck by a lightning bolt and fall on us, so again home we went.
Again we checked out the data, and yet again, to our surprise we had caught something. What seemed like a male voice had again left us with a mystery. "The Car is Here!" echoed on the tape, now we think there may be more to the story of the Bogey Bridge.
Although we have no pictures or video evidence of any paranormal activity at the Bogey Bridge, our EVP's we have recieved from the bridge have really through us for a loop. On back to back nights we had caught something, but to our surprise, they weren't the voices of a female, but of males. The story of Bogey Bridge clearly has a common sequence, the white lady ghost, but we have yet to gather the voice of a lady, but only males, to who these may be of, we don't know.
Questions are still to be answered, why and who is there? We entered the Bogey Bridge believing it was nothing more than a urban myth, but now, maybe the myth may not be a myth after all.
We will continue to monitor this location..
